This is where you can find everything you'll need to know to get started, whether you're keen to assess your own strengths and weaknesses with our unique assessment tool, or you'd like to start finding out about which type of course or qualification is right for you and where you'll be able to study or train for it. There is also a section on useful websites listed by catagory.
Don't worry if you haven't done any learning or training for a while: most people on any course you sign up for will be in the same boat.
Whether you'd like to develop yourself in your current role, or you're interested in moving on to another one, learning or training can help you take the next step.
How your training is assessed depends on the particular type of course you are doing.
There are several different organisations who run training courses for the school workforce.
All staff require particular skills to enable them to work in school (eg, looking after pupils), as well as specific sets of skills vital to carrying out their own roles (eg, school secretaries must be able to prepare letters on a computer).
