APSE, in conjunction with Hull University, is pleased to announce a new training and development programme for lunchtime supervisory staff.
Lunchtimes are a significant but often overlooked part of the school day.
Research shows that positive lunchtime experiences can impact on childrens physical and social development and can also influence childrens ability to learn in the afternoon.
The Food Health and Education Research Group (FHEd), at the University of Hull, have developed a training course for lunchtime staff in partnership with Hull City Council.
The course aims to help the whole school community get the most out of their lunchtimes. Following an extensive round of pilots and evaluations, this course builds on the existing skills and experience of lunchtime staff to support them in fulfilling the key aspects of their role.
